Anka-Meijer was founded in 13 October 2009,Nevsehir by Meijer B.V (Netherlands ) and Anka Seed by showing the activity of super Elit,Elit and Certificied seed potatoes production and storage issues.Our goal is to meet the needs of seeds which is used for the potato production of industrial and table market of famous companies and brands in Turkey and the world.
One main activity of Anka-Meijer Seed is to supply chains, processors with top quality processing varieties according to the production purposes. Plantation of our processing varieties are commencing in all growing regions to supply our processors directly from field to run under harvest quality and less waste for a considerable period .Anka-Meijer Seed has its own regional offices in Hatay (South extra early crop), Odemis (West early crop) and Afyon area and contracting to the best and reliable growers for consistent quality. Rest of the year Anka-Meijer continue to supply from its most modern AC storage facility. Anka-Meijer is one of the main supplier of world giant crisp processor Frito-lay Turkey since 1994. Also supplying and storing French fry varieties to the well known local French fry processors of Kerevitas, Ozgu Ozgorkey. Anka-Meijer has an experience agronomy team specialised on Industrial potato production. Each step of cultivation followed up very closly in the spot starting by soil analysis, optimum plantation parameters,fertilization, herbicide, fungucide advices, harvest practices untill the last tuber stored. Beside to the known and registered varieties; Anka-Meijer is continually researching new varieties by trial and variety testing fields compared to local potential referances to produce promising varieties for the future. Anka-Meijer incooperate with Potato Research Institutes in the variety testings and other fields of researches.
